For 25 years Special Equestrians has been providing therapeutic riding lessons to people residing in Jefferson, Shelby and adjacent counties who are diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, traumatic injuries, and many other physical and behavioral disorders. As one of only three centers in Alabama recognized as a Premier Accredited Center through the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, their services are recognized across the nation and we were so blessed to have their support and encouragement when beginning SOHYR. Please join us in congratulating Special Equestrians on 25 wonderful years of service and we hope you can attend their celebration on June 4th at Cornerstone Ranch. The evening includes live music, a special performance by the Special Equestrians Drill Team, live art auction, silent auction, and the opportunity to view some of the nation’s loveliest Arabian horses. For more information about attending this fabulous event to support our sister agency, please visit their website.
