We are pleased to announce that Glenn Magargee will be our interim program director, following Missy Cox’s resignation as program director. Missy mentioned to us in May that she may be resigning and confirmed last week that she would indeed be doing so. Her last day was June 30th. Missy’s departure saddens all of us, but as Missy wrote in a recent letter to our board, “Spirit of Hope has such a bright future. With new energy and input, it will be all God means it to be.”
Glenn is the executive director of the Mustard Seed Society an agency very similar to SOHYR. She is a licensed professional counselor, as well as a licensed social worker. Her horse experience includes both EAGALA and OK Corral certifications, and she ran the public stables at Oak Mountain for almost twenty years. It has been with Glenn’s mentorship that our programs at SOHYR have been developed, so she is the perfect person to lead us through this transition.
Our July sessions will continue as planned and we agree with Missy that SOHYR has a bright future!
